Residents are encouraged to bring a favourite chair, pictures, etc., to make their room more home-like, personal and comfortable.

Call bells are located at the bedside and and in the bathroom to use in the case of an emergency.

Bathrooms are located in each room and are equipped with raised toilet seats and grab bars to assist residents with transferring safely

Rates

Accommodations are available in ward, semi-private and private rooms. The daily and monthly rates are as regulated by the Ministry of Health.

Bulletin to Residents of Long­ Term Care Homes: Important News Regarding Long-Term Care Home Accommodations Charges

Basic Accommodation Rates

On July 1, 2023, the maximum co-payment that residents pay for basic accommodation in Long-Term Care (LTC) homes will increase by $1.59 per day from $63.73 per day to $65.32 per day, consistent with recent inflationary increases. This will help cover the rising costs of meals and accommodation.

Preferred Accommodation Rates

The maximum charges will also be increasing for residents admitted to newer preferred accommodation beds on or after July 1, 2023. The premium charged for semi-private accommodation will increase by $0.33 from $13.10 to $13.43 per day, and the premium for private accommodation will increase by $0.69 from $27.31 to $28.00 per day.
